SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording device having a liquid discharging head 109 equipped with an exothermic resistor 7 for generating the thermal energy used for discharging liquid and a protective coat 69 provided at least on the upper part or on the lower part of the exothermic resistor 7, the inkjet recording device has a controlling part 13, which measures the minimum necessary energy value for letting the exothermic resistor 7 discharge liquid and stops the discharging action of the liquid discharging head 109 when the energy values or their statistical values are less than the threshold.
