CELL-STORING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell-storing device enabling culture liquids to be exchanged while precisely holding a cell aggregate in a well. SOLUTION: The cell-storing device for culturing the cells by storing the cells, and having a plate-shaped member includes a culture region having a well for culturing the cells by storing the cells and floating the cells by a liquid-shaped body, and a liquid-shaped body-exchanging region for removing and/or injecting the liquid-shaped body and not storing the cells, present on the upper surface of the plate-shaped member. As a result, when exchanging the liquid-shaped body, a convection current in the upper and lower direction (the convection current in the direction of the depth of the well) is caused in the liquid-shaped body-exchanging region, and the convection current in the direction between the culture region and the liquid-shaped body-exchanging region is caused in the culture region to enable the liquid-shaped body in the culture region to be exchanged while leaving the cells in the liquid-shaped body in the well. As a result, the liquid-shaped body can be exchanged while precisely holding the cells in the well to which the cells has been inserted originally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
