INFORMATION RECORDING DEVICE, IMAGING DEVICE, INFORMATION UPDATING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve safety of data by securing consistency of management information even if information update is interrupted, in a FAT (File Allocation Tables) file system. SOLUTION: The information recording device 10 includes: an installation part 1 with a recording medium 20 mounted thereon for managing a file based on the FAT file system; and a control part 3. The control part 3 reads data of a recording area of a directory entry in a predetermined directory from the recording medium 20, and updates at least one directory entry in the second and subsequent clusters in the recording area. The control part 3 records updated data of the second and subsequent clusters into a free space in the recording medium 20. The control part 3 updates FAT of the recording medium 20 such that the area where the updated data of the second and subsequent clusters are recorded and an area of the first cluster of the recording area are connected, in the recording medium 20.
