STRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR REINFORCING GROUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a construction method for reinforcing ground, which can prevent liquefaction of the ground during earthquakes. SOLUTION: The structure 1 for reinforcing the ground E includes a restraining material 4 which is installed in the ground E so as to surround a reinforcement target area 2, and a load application means 5 for applying a load, which is directed to the inside of the reinforcement target area 2, to the restraining material 4. The restraining material 4 is installed in such a manner as to pass through a liquefied layer E1 and make a lower end thereof reach a predetermined depth of firm bearing ground of an unliquefied layer E2. The load application means 5 has a connecting material which comprises a rod-like anchor bolt 5a installed in the liquefied layer E1 so as to connect the restraining materials 4 installed in opposed positions, and a nut 5b for being screwed to both ends of the anchor bolt 5a.
