Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system for imaging video and still pictures, which allows a user to select a more optimal image processing method without requiring any complicated user operation. SOLUTION: The imaging system having an image sensor 53 (solid-state imaging device) which outputs light incident from an object as an imaging signal S1, has a digital signal processing circuit 10 (signal processing unit) which applies signal processing to the imaging signal S1 and generates a YC signal S2 (image signal). An external information interface 70 (information acquiring unit) is provided which acquires information for estimation for estimating an imaging scene. A CPU 20 (control unit) is provided which estimates the imaging scene using the information for estimation, and performs at least one of imaging control and signal processing control in the digital signal processing circuit 10.
