Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure for a turbocharger, reducing noise caused by whirl vibration. SOLUTION: In this structure for supporting the turbocharger 20 to an engine 10 by the use of a stay 40, one end of the stay 40 is fixed to an exhaust pipe 30 connected to the downstream side of a turbine housing 24, and the other end of the stay 40 is fixed to the engine 10. The stay 40 is so formed that rigidity in the axial direction of the turbocharger 20 is higher than rigidity in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction so as to suppress vibration in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the turbocharger 20 at the upstream end of the exhaust pipe 30.
