Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window sash which enables effective opening of the whole area of an opening provided in a sash frame, when a sliding screen is opened. SOLUTION: The sliding screen 31 of the window sash has a stile 35 which abuts on a jamb 14 constituting the sash frame 10, at the closing of the opening 20. When the sliding screen 31 is located in the maximum opening position to open the opening 20 to the utmost extent, the sliding screen 31 is disposed in such a manner that the whole indoor-side lateral surface of the stile 35 is covered with a mullion 23 of a fixed sash window section 18. A finger hook groove 40 is provided on the side of an abutting surface 39, abutting on the jamb 14 of the stile 35. When the sliding screen 31 is located in the maximum opening position, the whole indoor-side lateral surface of the stile 35 is covered with the fixed sash window section 18 so as to prevent the sliding screen 31 from being left in the opening 20.
