PORTABLE TERMINAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of displaying an object image on a standby screen in an easily visible way. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device includes: an operating portion for receiving an operation; a display for displaying the starting screen of a function that the own device has or a standby screen waiting for occurrence of communication; a storing portion for storing a plurality of pieces of text information as a plurality of pieces of object information by associating them with identification indexes respectively; and a control portion for displaying at least one object among a plurality of objects by using the text information in a first display area on the standby screen when displaying the standby screen on the display and displaying objects that are not displayed in the first display area among the plurality of objects by using identification information in a second display area on the standby screen.
