METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRO-OPTIC DEVICE AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRO-OPTIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electro-optic device and an apparatus for manufacturing an electro-optic device, by which electric characteristics and optical characteristics can be improved. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device 11 as an electro-optic device includes: a lamination step of laminating an element substrate 41 and a counter substrate 42 with a sealing material 14; an injection step of injecting a liquid crystal in between the element substrate 41 and the counter substrate 42 through a liquid crystal injection port formed in the sealing material 14; and a gap adjustment step of adjusting a gap between the element substrate 41 and the counter substrate 42. The gap adjustment step is carried out by a non-contact method by pressurizing or sucking at least one substrate of the laminated substrates in a part inside the sealing material 14 in a plan view.
