Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify design and adjustment by saving one trouble of replacement of a filter, or the like for sharing by reception systems in a plurality of measurements including measurement of an error rate. SOLUTION: An error rate measuring apparatus 1 includes one input end 1a to which a light signal is inputted from a device W to be tested following input of a test signal. A photoelectric conversion unit 2 converts a light signal from the input end 1a to an electric signal. A frequency characteristic adjustment unit 5 includes a plurality of sets of pairs of filters 5a and equalizers 5b to adjust frequency characteristics by utilizing characteristics of the filter 5a. High-frequency switching units 3a, 3b are provided at front and rear stages of the frequency characteristic adjustment unit 5, and contacts are subjected to open/close control cooperatively to switch paths of high-frequency signals by selecting the frequency characteristic adjustment unit 5 corresponding to a prescribed standard bit rate. A branch unit 6 equivalently branches signals inputted via the high-frequency switching unit 3b for outputting to a plurality of measurement units 7 each after adjusting frequency characteristics.
