PROTECTION MODULE HAVING MONITORING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection module having a monitoring function, capable of acquiring conditions of a secondary battery under various utilization situations. SOLUTION: The protection module includes a protection means of protecting the secondary battery from being overcharged or being over-discharged by controlling ON/OFF of a switching element connected between the secondary battery and a load, a storage means of storing condition information on the secondary battery and threshold value information for detecting a condition of the secondary battery, and a condition monitoring means of monitoring the condition of the secondary battery. The condition monitoring means includes a setting means of setting an item of the condition information used to detect the condition of the secondary battery and a threshold value contained in the threshold value information based on a setting instruction, and an abnormal condition detection means of detecting an abnormal condition of the secondary battery based on the item of the condition information and the threshold value, being set in the setting means.
