Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight section steel which is used for the iron skeletons or the like of structures and low-rise buildings, has an efficient section performance, i.e, a high section performance per weight, eliminates the need of rust-inhibitive painting, and is manufacturable at low costs. SOLUTION: In this double-layer lightweight section steel characterized by a lightweight channel section steel, flanges are formed by bending a pre-plated long steel sheet into a generally U-shape in cross section in the longitudinal direction. The flanges of generally U-shape in cross section are doubled by folding the steel sheet 180° from the front ends of the flanges, respectively. The center portion of the web of the section steel is formed of a single plate. The inner webs 2b formed by the longer side both ends of the steel sheet and the end sides of the outer web 2a are fitted to each other, respectively, and the webs are fixed at a predetermined interval by eyelet joints 4, respectively.
