METHOD FOR CORRECTING SURFACE PRECISION OF DIE FOR MOLDING OPTICAL ELEMENT, AND METHOD FOR MOLDING THE OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct the change of surface precision of a molding surface caused by repeated molding of optical elements, in a method for correcting the surface precision of a die for molding optical elements. SOLUTION: This method for correcting the surface precision of a die for molding optical elements, in which molding surfaces S2, S3for molding the optical elements, each being provided with a protective film, are formed on die bodies, respectively, includes: a pressing member arranging process of arranging a pressing member 15A abutting on the molding surfaces S2, S3except for locally recessed parts C2, C3on the molding surfaces S2, S3where the recessed parts C2, C3are formed by molding; and a die pressing process of pressing the molding surfaces S2, S3via the pressing member 15A arranged on the molding surfaces S2, S3in the pressing member arranging process.
