Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vivo diagnostic apparatus and a control method for the same for acquiring an excellent image by automatically suppressing adherence of blood or bubbles to a vibrator unit. SOLUTION: The in-vivo diagnostic apparatus is joined to an in-vivo insertion probe 1 which has a sheath 2 inserted in a living body and a driving shaft 42 having a signal transmission receiving member 411 for transmitting/receiving a signal at an end to perform shaft rotation and movement in the axis direction in the sheath 2, acquires in-vivo information by transmitting/receiving a signal to/from the signal transmission receiving member 411, and moves the driving shaft 42 in the sheath 2, and has: an axis direction movement device 72 for moving the driving shaft 42 in the axis direction; a medium supply means 73 for supplying a transmission medium into the in-vivo insertion probe; and a control unit 79 for controlling the medium supply means 73 and adjusting a supply amount of the transmission medium in accordance with a signal from the signal transmission receiving member 411 or an amount of movement in the axis direction of the driving shaft 42.
