Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of crosstalk to signal light by reducing influences of four-optical-wave mixed light. SOLUTION: In a wavelength division multiplex optical fiber transmission system, a plurality of signal beams are generated by modulating a plurality of optical carriers disposed on a predetermined frequency grid, respectively, the plurality of signal beams are multiplexed and sent to a transmission optical fiber, and the plurality of signal beams wavelength-division-multiplex-transmitted through the transmission optical fiber are demultiplexed and received. The wavelength division multiplex optical fiber transmission system includes: an optical phase synchronizer for synchronizing optical phases of the plurality of optical carriers and synchronizing optical phases of the plurality of signal beams; and an optical phase shifter for controlling an electric field phase, for signal beams on the predetermined frequency grid, prior to multiplexing the plurality of signal beams so as to reduce a strength of leakage caused by four-optical-wave mixed light generated in the predetermined frequency grid during propagation through the transmission optical fiber.
