VIDEO IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable each viewer to easily input a command related to video images that he/she is viewing by a remote controller in a video display system wherein the plurality of viewers can simultaneously view the plurality of video images by displaying them in a time division manner. SOLUTION: The video image display system has: a display device for displaying the plurality of video images in a time division manner; a shutter device to be opened and closed in synchronism with the time division display of the plurality of video images; and a remote controller switchable to a plurality of operation modes inputting commands related to the respective video images and provided with a touch panel for displaying a plurality of touchable buttons corresponding to the respective video images. The plurality of buttons displayed on the touch panel are displayed in a time division manner in synchronism with the time division display of the video images, and when the respective buttons are operated, the remote controller is switched to the operation mode for inputting the command related to the video image corresponding to the button.
