Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module and a housing achieving downsizing of a plug (optical circuit module). SOLUTION: The plug 12 is disposed on one end of an optical fiber 100 and has a light-receiving element optically connected with the optical fiber 100. The circuit module 14 has a circuit element for driving the light-receiving element. A receptacle 16 is a box-like housing containing the plug 12 and the circuit module 14 and is provided with a circuit for electrically connecting the light-receiving element with the circuit element.
