PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant for limiting a reset operation. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 includes: a CPU 21 for performing an application program; a power switch 14B for receiving an instruction to switch a power supply to an on state and an off state; and a reset detection circuit 20 for outputting a reset signal for restarting the CPU 21 when the power switch 14B is in off state for a predetermined time. The CPU 21 outputs a status signal SL1 showing either a resettable state or an unresettable state, and a reset detection circuit 20 includes a logical product element 27 for outputting a high signal S4(reset signal) to a reset circuit 41 under conditions that the resettable state is shown by the state signal S1. The reset circuit 41 outputs a low signal SL5(reset signal) to a CPU 21 when the high signal S4(reset signal) is input from the reset detection circuit 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
