Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the function of a display driver for driving a data electrode while preventing increase in the number of input terminals for supplying control signals. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel 1 having the data electrode; a data electrode drive circuit 105 which supplies a data signal to the data electrode of the display panel 1 to drive the data electrode; and a control circuit 102 which supplies a polarity switching signal POL designating a polarity of the data signal to the data electrode drive circuit 105. The control circuit 102 supplies the polarity switching signal POL to the data electrode drive circuit 105 while superimposing control information thereon.
