Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature rise of a friction material while combining fuel economy and operability during slip control of a lock-up clutch in a torque converter. SOLUTION: When the high temperature state of the friction material is detected during control of the lock-up clutch into a slip state, if an accelerator opening is smaller than a predetermined opening and an automatic transmission is in a region smaller than a predetermined gear ratio (high temperature time L/Uon), the lock-up clutch is completely locked to make the slip amount zero, and in a region other than that region, the lock-up clutch is completely released to put the friction material in a non-frictional state.
