PILE DRIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver in a simple constitution, which regulates the rotation of a working device abutting member to ensure the operation of an over-winding detection device. SOLUTION: In the pile driver, the working device abutting member 24 is mounted to a guide pipe 20 provided along the leader 14 erected on the pile driver body so as to move vertically and the pile driver including the over-winding detection device wherein the working device abutting member 24 is hung with a hanging wire rope from the top sheave block of the upper part of the leader, the working device abutting member is provided with a circular mounting part 24a holding the guide pipe inside and having at least a half-circular cross section. A turning range restricting member, which comprises a guide piece 28 and guide rails 29 regulating the turning range centering around the guide pipe of the working device abutting member while allowing the guide piece to abut on the guide rails, is provided to the working device abutting member and the leader.
