Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cellulose particles having a small average particle size and a low cellulose I-type crystallinity by suppressing aggregation of celluloses. SOLUTION: The method for producing cellulose particles includes adding, as a grinding aid, 0.1-100 pts.mass of a compound having two or more ester groups in the molecule to 100 pts.mass of a low crystalline cellulose material having a cellulose I-type crystallinity of 33% or less as represented by following formula (1) and treating the mixture by means of a grinding machine in a dry process, wherein the average particle size of the cellulose particles is 25 μm or less. Cellulose I crystallinity (%)= [(I22.6-I18.5)/I22.6]×100 (1).
