Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polypropylene film for an ultrathin capacitor that has a small reduction in capacitance even when high dc voltage is continuously charged for a long period of time under high temperature and has excellent long-term heat resistance and voltage resistance performance, and a metallized polypropylene film for the capacitor. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polypropylene film for a capacitor has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) measured by GPC method of 250,000-450,000, molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 4-7, and the difference obtained by subtracting a differentiation distribution value at a logarithm molecular weight Log(M)=6 from a differentiation distribution value at Log(M)=4.5 of 2-15% on a molecular weight distribution curve, and contains at least one hindered phenol-based antioxidant having a carbonyl group in an amount of 4,000-6,000 ppm (mass basis).
