Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving apparatus capable of more improving user convenience, and to provide a method of controlling the broadcast receiving apparatus. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiving apparatus (100) comprises: a transmission/reception means (168) which transmits and receives data to and from an external apparatus (500) through a network; and a storage means (151) which stores a plurality of html files. The broadcast receiving apparatus reads, from the storage means, an html file of a language in accordance with a request received by the transmission/reception means from the external apparatus through the network, and performs control so that the read-out html file is transmitted to the external apparatus through the network by the transmission/reception means.
