EQUIPMENT MONITORING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment monitoring device capable of confirming abnormality such as failure of a sensor in an installation state without performing maintenance working of the sensor over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The equipment monitoring device has a monitoring means 7 for monitoring a state of equipment 1 which is a detection object, a simulation signal giving means 14 for giving a simulation signal to the monitoring means 7, and an evaluating means 12 for confirming integrity of monitoring result of the monitoring means 7 on the basis of the simulation signal given to the monitoring means 7. The monitoring means 12 has the sensor 2 mounted on the equipment 1 and measuring a physical quantity of the equipment 1, a signal processing means 3 for processing signals of the sensor 2, and a wireless transmitting means 4 for transmitting signals of signal processing result with the signal processing means 3 by wireless. A simulation signal giving means 14 has an energy transmitting means 10 for transmitting energy, and an energy giving means 8 for obtaining energy of the transmitted amount to convert the energy into the physical quantity which is a measuring object of the sensor 2 to be given to the sensor 2.
