Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure braking force on wheels by supplying sufficient negative pressure to a brake booster. SOLUTION: This engine control device includes control valves 22a, 24a, 26a provided in intake and exhaust passages, control valve drive devices 22b, 24b, 26b to be supplied with negative pressure for driving the control valves 22a, 24a, 26a, the brake booster 60 to be supplied with negative pressure for imparting braking force to wheels 80, and a negative pressure supply 70 for producing negative pressure with the operation of an engine 1. During restarting the engine, when pressure in the brake booster 60 is reference pressure P2 or lower, the negative pressure is supplied to the control valve drive devices 22b, 24b, 26b and the brake booster 60. Besides, when pressure in the brake booster 60 is not lower than the reference pressure P2, the supply of the negative pressure to the control valve drive devices 22b, 24b, 26b is stopped until the pressure in the brake booster 60 is the reference pressure P2 or lower.
