PRECIOUS-METAL-BASED COLLOIDAL SOLUTION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precious-metal-based colloidal solution that has precious-metal-based fine particles uniformly dispersed therein which have a small particle size and are uniform, and is superior in storability, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The precious-metal-based colloidal solution includes at least one precious-metal-based fine particle selected from the group consisting of a precious-metal fine particle, a precious-metal-alloy fine particle, a precious-metal-compound fine particle and a precious-metal-alloyed compound fine particle, and a polymeric dispersing agent. As for a particle size of the precious-metal-based fine particles, a particle size D50at which the accumulated mass in the particle size distribution reaches 50% is 0.8-5.0 nm, and a particle size D90at which the accumulated mass reaches 90% is 2.5 times of the particle size D50or smaller.
