CHARGE CONTROLLING RESIN AND TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge controlling resin and a toner, achieving improvement in charging property accompanying environmental characteristics, that is, showing a fast rising rate of charging under high temperature and high humidity conditions with a little difference in the charge amount under low temperature and low humidity conditions, and showing high stability of a saturated charge amount. SOLUTION: The charge controlling resin contains a specified repeating unit structure (A) and a specified repeating structural unit (B), characterized in that: the resin has at least a moiety where the repeating structural unit (A) and the repeating structural unit (B) are directly bonded; the charge controlling resin has a weight average molecular weight Mw of 3,000 or more and 100,000 or less; and the content of the repeating structural unit (A) included in the charge controlling resin is 0.300 mmol/g or more and 1.000 mmol/g or less.
