Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method of removing a cation using a chelate resin. SOLUTION: This method uses the chelate resin having acetic acid and/or imino-diacetic acid group having a high dynamic adsorption capacity for the cation, at a low residual content and a high regeneration efficiency. The present invention relates to a chelate forming exchange body itself and use thereof, in the improved method of removing the cation, preferably an alkaline earth metal, in particular, calcium and barium, from an aqueous solution.
