Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a positional deviation of a connecting part of a ruled line by a method other than suction. SOLUTION: The liquid discharging apparatus includes a transporting mechanism which transports a medium in a transportation direction, a plurality of nozzle lines each of which is composed of a plurality of nozzles aligned in the transportation direction and which are arranged side by side in a movement direction, a moving mechanism which moves a plurality of nozzle lines in the movement direction, and a controller which corrects a discharge timing of the liquid of a certain nozzle line in a liquid discharge operation according to a printing duty whereby printing is performed by other nozzle lines of the downstream side in the movement direction from the certain nozzle line at the time of the liquid discharge operation in the case of printing the ruled line along the transportation direction by the certain nozzle line. The controller repeatedly executes a liquid discharge operation of discharging the liquid from each nozzle line during movement in both outward and homeward directions while moving a plurality of nozzle lines outward and homeward in the movement direction by the moving mechanism, and a transportation operation of transporting the medium in the transportation direction by a transportation amount of a length of the nozzle line by the transporting mechanism in a period between the outward and homeward liquid discharge operations.
