IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that diagnoses images in a high-accuracy medical image diagnostic device which generates several hundreds of images, in a short time. SOLUTION: The image processing device for performing, based on three-dimensional original images, image processing for displaying a projection image obtained by projecting the three-dimensional original images to a projection plane in a predetermined direction includes: a setting means which classifies the plurality of original tomographic images into a plurality of groups by a predetermined number of sheets in a laminating direction; and a means which performs, for each of the plurality of groups set by the setting means and for each of the original tomographic images constituting one group, predetermined processing on pixel values of pixels for the number of sheets of one group located in the laminating direction of each of the original tomographic image to thereby form the projection image of the predetermined direction.
