PROGRAM AND METHOD FOR HANDLING TROUBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time taken for recovery from a trouble in an information system. SOLUTION: When a trouble symptom is inputted from a console 200, a trouble handling device 100 having a DB 110 which stores each trouble case 110A in which a symptom, a hypothesis for a cause and the cause are associated with one another, refers to the DB 100, and retrieves the trouble case 110A in which the trouble symptom is stored in the symptom and stores it in a case retrieval result 190. When a rejection hypothesis is inputted from the console 200, the trouble handling device 100 narrows the trouble case 110A stored in the case retrieval result 190 to the trouble case 110A in which the rejection hypothesis is stored in the cause hypothesis. Then, the trouble handling device 100 displays items stored in the cause of the trouble case 110A as a cause candidate on the console 200 with respect to the trouble case 110A stored in the case retrieval result 190.
