Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method in which a high-quality nano-crystal having a desired particle diameter and a narrow half-value width can be selectively formed with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: The method for producing the nano-crystal includes a step of forming a nano-crystal by mixing a supply source of at least one kind of atom selected from a group consisting of Cd and Zn and a supply source of at least one kind of atom selected from a group consisting of Se, S and Te in the presence of a solvent containing hexadecyl amine, octadecyl amine, trioctyl phosphine oxide and trioctyl phosphine, and allowing reaction under predetermined temperature conditions.
