Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique (particularly a pretreatment technique) for treating wastewater capable of reducing the amount of sludge produced via the treatment of the wastewater containing fluorine and silicon lower than a conventional technique. SOLUTION: When the wastewater containing fluorine and silicon is treated for coagulating sedimentation by adding a calcium compound thereto, a pretreatment is carried out in which sodium hydroxide is added to the wastewater (a first reaction tank 1) to precipitate sodium silicofluoride, which is removed through a solid-liquid separation process (a first settling tank 2).
