GEPON SYSTEM, STATION SIDE TERMINAL, SUBSCRIBER SIDE TERMINAL, AND RECOVERY METHOD FROM COMMUNICATION INTERRUPTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a recovery time from a communication interruption. SOLUTION: An OLT 12 includes a setting determining part 38a for reading an initial setting flag, which indicates whether the initial setting for communication with the OLT is completed, from the flag storage part 66 of a communication interruption ONU 142after the establishment of a logical link, and determining "completion" or "noncompletion" of the initial setting based on the initial setting flag, an initial setting part 38b for making the initial setting with respect to the communication interruption ONU when the initial setting is determined as "noncompletion" and also changing the initial setting flag to "completion" after completing the initial setting, and a station side communication establishment control part 42 for establishing communication with the communication interruption ONU when the initial setting is determined as "completion".
