METHOD OF PROTECTING APPLICATION SOFTWARE AND EDITING PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR STREAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect application software for editing process, transmitted from a server and carried out on a client. SOLUTION: A method of protecting the application software includes: a step of determining the editing contents of an input stream U by using a first program X transmitted from the server B; the step of transmitting transmission information from the client A to the server in the transmission information V containing characteristic information I indicating the characteristics of the input stream and editing information E indicating editing contents; and the step of containing the transmission information and generating a second program Y carrying out the editing contents to the input stream. The method of protecting the application software further includes: the step of transmitting the generated second program Y to the client; and the step of carrying out the editing based on the editing information to the input stream by using the second program when the characteristics of the input stream and the characteristics indicated by the characteristic information contained in the transmission information coincide.
