Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging a lithium-ion secondary battery that realizes reduction in charging time and improves the service life characteristics of the charging and discharging cycle, at the same time. SOLUTION: In the method for charging the lithium-ion secondary battery where electrode group composed by winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode in which a lithium compound oxide with a layered crystal structure is used as a positive-electrode active material via a separator, and a non-aqueous electrolyte are housed in a battery case, a constant-current charging is performed repeatedly as constant current and voltage charging, the constant-current sequentially is diminished at each charging from initial charging and upper-limit voltage is made sequentially larger starting from the initial charging.
