METHOD FOR REGENERATING EXISTING PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating an aging existing pipe with safety and sufficient workability by surely heating a lining material to required temperature to assure quality and demonstrate sufficient strength. SOLUTION: The lining material which is made of a composite material including a thermoplastic filament and a reinforcing fiber filament and which has flexibility is used. In order to regenerate the existing pipe 5, the lining material is inserted into the existing pipe 5 and is arranged at a part to be repaired, is softened by heating to expand to a pipe shape along an inner peripheral surface. At a connecting part of a main pipe 51 and a branch pipe 52, the main pipe 51 and the branch pipe 52 are subjected to integral lining by a hole drilling process for cutting a main pipe lining layer 11 formed of the lining material to open the layer 11 to the branch pipe 52 side and a binding process for welding or fusing the main pipe lining layer 11 and a branch pipe lining layer 12 by heat treatment via an opening 13.
