METHOD OF EDGING CIRCUMFERENCE OF SPECTACLE LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always provide a spectacle lens of a properly finished circumferential length size by always controlling so as to put a difference between a lens shape circumferential length of a spectacle frame and a circumferential length of a machined lens within a proper range. SOLUTION: This method of supplying a spectacle lens by machining the peripheral edge of an uncut spectacle lens based on the lens shape data of a specified spectacle frame includes: a lens edging step (S2) to rim machine a spectacle lens based on a lens shape data and a predetermined edging condition of the spectacle frame; a lens circumferential length measuring step (S3) to measure a circumferential length of the spectacle lens edged in the peripheral edge thereof in the lens edging step; a circumferential length difference calculating step (S4) to calculate a difference between the lens circumferential length obtained by the lens circumferential length measuring step and the lens shape circumferential length of the spectacle frame; and correcting steps (S5-S11) to correct the circumferential length correction values stored per edging condition so as to put the circumferential length difference within a predetermined range.
