Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a method for providing an application service capable of simply performing authentication and accounting, by utilizing an existing SIP (Session initiation protocol) server function. SOLUTION: An SIP session 104 is established through a relay server 101 in between a client 100 and an application server 103 by utilizing a standard SIP procedure, when a service provided by the application server 103 is requested by a user operating the client 100. The service is directly provided in between the client 100 and the application server 103 after the SIP session 104 is established. The application server 103 can be simply constituted without requiring any function for the authentication in the application server 103, by performing user authentication in the relay server 101 at the establishing stage of the SIP session 104.
