Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high polarization extinction ratio even in a wideband regarding a 90° optical hybrid detecting I and Q channel signals by mixing signal light and local light. SOLUTION: The 90° optical hybrid includes: a half mirror receiving a signal obtained by polarizing a modulated signal light via a 1/2 wave plate and receiving a signal obtained by polarizing a local light via a 1/4 wave plate; a first polarization separating element having a high polarization extinction ratio and receiving a light signal obtained by polarizing the signal light transmitting the half mirror and a local light reflected by the half mirror; a first photodetector receiving a horizontal polarization I channel signal light transmitting the first polarization separating element; a second polarization separating element having the same high polarization extinction ratio as the first polarization separating element and outputting a reflection signal light by receiving a vertical polarization Q channel signal light reflected by the first polarization separating element; and a second photodetector receiving the reflection signal light.
