CLEANING DEVICE AND CLEANING METHOD FOR DEVELOPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that the conventional cleaning device cannot sufficiently remove developer remaining in a developing device recovered from a market. SOLUTION: A cleaning device for a developing device is provided with a developer carrier and first and second stirring rolls. The cleaning device includes: a cover for covering the opening of the developing device from which a cover is detached; a suction nozzle for sucking air in the cover; first and second air nozzles for alternately jetting air within the cover; and a drive source for rotating a developing sleeve and first and second stirring rolls. The leading end of the first air nozzle is directed between the first stirring roll and the developer carrier, and the leading end of the second air nozzle is directed between the second and first stirring rolls.
