Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic scanning type radar device capable of discriminating detection of an upper structure. SOLUTION: The radar device includes a transmitting antenna 3 for transmitting transmission waves; a receiving antennas 11-1n for receiving reception waves formed by the reflection of the transmission waves by an object; a reception intensity calculating section 22 for calculating the intensity of the reception waves; a distance detecting section 24 for detecting the distance to the object, based on the reception waves; and an upper structure discrimination processing section 28 for determining that the object is an upper structure, when the intensity of the reception wave is reduced gradually, as the distance is narrowed.
