CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF PILE USING PILE FOLLOWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the horizontal yield strength of a pile while reducing the number of processes. SOLUTION: A pile follower 20 including an outer frame body 21 functioning as a hopper for storing a soil improving material 30 while carrying out expanding excavation of the ground G, and a guide 22 holding the substantially coincident state of a pile core of the pile 10 and the rotational center of the pile follower 20, is used to hold the pile 10 in the state of substantially coinciding with the rotational center of the pile follower 20, and the pile follower 20 is used to bury the pile 10 in the ground and to carry out expanding excavation around the pile 10 by the outer frame body 21. The soil improving material 30 stored in the outer frame body 21 is placed in an expansion-excavated part while pulling up the pile follower 20 from the ground to improve soil around the pile 10. It is preferable to use the pile follower 20 provided with an opening/closing cover 24 for opening/closing an outflow port of the soil improving material 30 receiving resistance in the ground when the pile follower 20 is jacked into the ground and pulled out of the ground.
