Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques of producing a reformed gas using a catalyst, in which decrease in the mechanical strength of the catalyst under use conditions can be suppressed. SOLUTION: A raw material gas containing hydrocarbon is brought into contact with a catalyst to produce a reformed gas containing hydrogen gas derived from the hydrocarbon, wherein the concentration of an aromatic compound having a high boiling point in the raw material gas is controlled to not more than 5 ppm by volume prior to reforming the raw material gas, and the raw material gas with controlled concentration is reformed to obtain the reformed gas.
