IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR, AND IMAGE DISPLAY PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a plurality of images having relevancy and a story line as a sequence of images. SOLUTION: An image display apparatus is provided, which simultaneously displays a plurality of images on a display screen and sequentially changing these displayed images. The device includes: a first display unit, which includes a plurality of similar layouts through a plurality of ranks from a low rank to a high rank and displays images in the respective plurality of regions divided by the layouts; and a second display unit, which enlarges the images displayed in the respective regions of ranks except for the highest rank in the plurality of regions in such a manner that the image is enlarged without changing the positional relation and the aspect ratio and the position and size of the enlarged image coincide with those of the layout in the highest rank before the enlargement, and which does not display an image in a region included in the layout of the highest rank but not included in the layout of a rank other than the highest rank.
