APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WAVEFORM OBSERVATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform trigger synchronization on any one signal observed as being input to a plurality of input terminals, without requiring cable replacement operations to signal input terminals, and to constitute a waveform observation apparatus at low cost. SOLUTION: In a waveform observation apparatus adopting an equivalent time sampling system, a signal selection section 23 selects any one of signals to be observed Sxa and Sxb input to the plurality of signal input terminals 21A and 21B. Selected signals to be observed are provided for a trigger signal generating section 30, to generate a trigger signal TRG which determines the acquisition-start timing of a waveform to be observed and input to a sampling signal generating section 35. A sampling signal Cs, synchronized with the trigger signal TRG, is commonly provided to each of sampling sections 22A and 22B to simultaneously start sampling of each of the signals to be observed Sxa and Sxb.
