Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a conversion coating which is environmentally friendly and capable of imparting high corrosion resistance to an outer surface of magnesium or a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of executing the water-rinsing after degreasing an outer surface of magnesium or a magnesium alloy; a step of executing the water-rinsing after the etching for removing an oxide film on the outer surface of the magnesium or the magnesium alloy; a step of executing the water-rinsing after the desmutting treatment for removing smut generated on the outer surface of the magnesium or the magnesium alloy; a step of executing the water-rinsing after depositing a chemical-converted film on the outer surface of the magnesium or the magnesium alloy; and a step of executing the coating on the chemical-converted film.
