Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing plastics capable of independently recovering a cross-linking agent dibasic acid copolymer such as a styrene-fumaric acid copolymer and aluminum hydroxide, respectively, by decomposition of plastics containing a thermosetting resin and aluminum hydroxide with a subcritical water. SOLUTION: This method includes: a step of decomposing the plastics containing the thermosetting resin and aluminum hydroxide with the subcritical water under coexistence of an alkali; a step of recovering an aluminum hydroxide-dissolved aqueous solution, which contains a salt of the cross-linking agent dibasic acid copolymer, after solid-liquid-separating a decomposed liquid of plastics; a step of solid-liquid-separating the resultant aluminum hydroxide-dissolved aqueous solution that contains the recovered salt of the cross-linking agent dibasic acid copolymer, by supplying an acid to become acidic, into the cross-linking agent dibasic acid copolymer as a solid and the aluminum hydroxide-dissolved aqueous solution; and a step of isolating the aluminum hydroxide from the aluminum hydroxide-dissolved aqueous solution by adding an alkali to the aqueous solution.
