STEERING COLUMN DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device for favorably maintaining operability, suppressing the axial movement of a steering shaft when impact force is applied on an upper end of the steering shaft and the upper end of the steering shaft is rotated forward of the vehicle, and reducing cost. SOLUTION: A lock tooth 7 having serrations 71, 72 and a resin guide member 8 having connection pins 82, 83 inserted into the lock tooth 7 and a jacket bracket 40 are interposed between the jacket bracket 40 and a jacket guide 3. When the steering shaft 5 is rotated forward of the vehicle due to the vehicle collision, the lock tooth 7 is rotated integrally with the jacket bracket 40. Accordingly, the serrations 71, 72 are pressed to and engaged with the jacket guide 3, thereby locking the lock tooth 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
